ABOUT US

As the University of Exeter Law School's flagship academic publication, the Exeter Law Review serves as a platform for innovative and sophisticated legal exposition, discussion, and debate. An open-access publication that also is available on HeinOnline, it has a distinguished history stemming from its original inception as the Bracton Law Journal in 1965. The Review is committed to the highest scholarly standards and to making a meaningful contribution to the legal community.

The Exeter Law Review publishes scholarship annually across a wide range of legal topics. Essays and Articles are double blind peer reviewed by academics and practitioners in the field.  The Review also publishes student contributions that meet the high standards established by the Review.

In 2017, the Review created an online companion, www.exeterlaw.org, that publishes shorter pieces addressing contemporary legal challenges from a scholarly point of view.

The Exeter Law Review is proudly sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills LLP and Sidley Austin LLP.
